A marketing channel is any path a customer can take to find you, trust you, and do business with you. There are eleven categories and more than fifty channels. You do not need them all. Nobody does.

The rule of thumb: **one channel to be found, one to build relationships, one to accelerate.** Three, done with excellence, is a complete system for most small businesses. If a bucket genuinely has two for you, tick both and your plan will tell you which to lead with.

The full guide is downloadable on the hub, and there is an information button next to every option on the page.

Eight questions.

## Part A: Your Three Channels

**1. Your FOUND channels. How do new people discover you?**
Search, maps, directories, marketplaces, markets, word of mouth. Most businesses should pick one and work it properly. If you genuinely have two, tick both and your plan will tell you which to lead with.

**2. Your BUILD channels. How do you stay in touch and earn trust?**
Where you show up again and again for people who already know you exist. Email, text, a social platform, a community, a loyalty programme. One is usually enough.

**3. Your ACCELERATE channels. How do you speed it up?**
Optional. Paid reach, or somebody else's audience borrowed with permission. Tick none at all if you have no budget, your plan will still work.

**4. Which channels are you currently keeping alive out of guilt, and could stop?**
Naming these is how you free up the hours to do three things properly.

## Part B: How People Actually Reach You

**5. How do people buy from you, and what link do they use?**
How they order and pay, plus the link.
*Example: "They message me and I send a Square invoice. My link is linktr.ee/sweetlayers."*

**6. Do you have an email or text list? Roughly how many people?**
"No" is common and completely fine. You will get a simple way to start.

**7. What is the best-performing thing you have ever posted? What was it?**
If you know, describe it. This is often the most valuable answer on the page, because the answer is usually "the one where I was just being myself."

**8. Where did your last five customers actually come from?**
Not where you think customers come from. The last five. Think them through one at a time. This answer surprises almost everybody.
